Framed for treason and sentenced to death, Shade stole a Miraco-Vest to escape from Meta to Earth and clear his name. All the while he was hunted by Meta's authorities, as well as by his former lover Mellu Loron, the daughter of Meta's dictator. Shade ran for 8 issues before falling to market forces as part of the DC Implosion.
