General Notes: While this story appears to take place within The Sandman continuity/the shared Vertigo universe, there are elements which contradict previously established facts. Among other things, this story states that Queen Titania overthrew Queen Mab to gain her position, and centers on Mab returning to take back her thrown. In the past, however, it has been said that "Mab" was just an alias of Titania's, and that her predecessor was Queen Dymphna whom she did not overthrow to win the thrown.

It's the perfect jumping on point, as Tom Taylor is stranded at the beginning of all creation! Lost in the unwritten scenes of all the world's stories, Tom Taylor is headed back to reality - and all the gods and beasts and monsters ever imagined can't stop him. But there's a toll on the road that may be too high for him or anyone to pay
I give this a mild three stars. My problem with this issue, and the other handful of issues I've read, is that the main story doesn't really appeal to me. The scenes that take place within the Tommy Taylor universe, and the literary diversions are much more interesting. See issue 5 to see exactly what I mean. It's one of my all time favorite single issue stories and has hardly anything to do with the main plot....
