The Unwritten

The Unwritten

I give this a mild three stars. My problem with this issue, and the other handful of issues I've read, is that the main story doesn't really appeal to me. The scenes that take place within the Tommy Taylor universe, and the literary diversions are much more interesting. See issue 5 to see exactly what I mean. It's one of my all time favorite single issue stories and has hardly anything to do with the main plot....

Suicide Risk

Suicide Risk

Heroes are dying, and cops are dying twofold. Humanity is underpowered in the face of their onslaught, and people are suffering untold casualties trying to stem the flow. After barely surviving a super-powered bank heist gone horribly wrong, beat cop Leo Winters vowed to try and find a way to stop them. Following a lead, he discovered two lowlifes who seemed to be able to grant a person powers...for the right price. Thing is: you don't get to choose which power. It's seemingly random, a crap-shoot, a risk. Will Leo decide to take that risk? Why is it that even the heroes in this world eventually break?

The series follows Lucifer Morningstar as he tries to create a world of his own and gets involved in the affairs of angels, demons, gods, and mortals in the process. Lucifer does not appear in eleven issues of the series, and in many that he does appear he makes simple cameos.
