We meet Sorceress-Major Maya Antares while she relates the Battle of Kar Dathra's Gate, in which she lost her husband. Marcus.Maya was on "Isolator Duty", transforming herself into a living beam of destructive energy, while Marcus was leading a unit of ground infantry. Urik Antares, Marcus' brother, was second in command of the Skyfurnace Konstantinov. When the U.R.R.S. fleet had cleared the ground with coordinated ventral blast from all the Skyfurnaces, they thought the battle over.
