What’s to Love: Airing last November, Pat McHale’s Over the Garden Wall was Cartoon Network’s first-ever original animated miniseries. We loved the eerily sweet story of two half-brothers trying to find their way home so much we published a companion one-shot that was quickly snapped up by folks who just wanted more of this world to experience. Now, we’re expanding the world of Over the Garden Wall with McHale and returning artist Jim Campbell with a full-length story.

Outsiders (Volume 3) began publication in September of 2003 and ended in 2007 after printing 50 issues. The series followed the break-up of the Titans after the events of Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day and included former Titans members Nightwing and Arsenal. The rest of the initial line-up included Jade, Indigo and Shift (an aspect of Metamorpho). The series also introduced two new characters, Grace and Thunder. Following cancellation, the team was re-organized as the second incarnation of Batman and the Outsiders.

A Zero Month crossover issue. The Outsiders have disbanded. Without a home, Halo goes to visit Looker, to see how she is making out being a vampire. The visit is interrupted by Eradicator, who wants to enlist Looker’s aid in taking down a gun-runner. Eradicator, Looker, and Halo infiltrate the mansion of the boss, Oscar Bolt, and finds that he has Wylde captured. They free Wylde, and take down Bolt. Eradicator discovers the ammunition Bolt is selling is energy in nature, so the group brings Faust in to determine it is magic. The group instead discovers it is alien, and uncovers a scheme of the Pharon Empire. The reformed Outsiders defeat the Pharon Empire, but news gets out about the mansion’s destruction. Geo-Force, Katana, and Technocrat vow to bring in these rogue Outsiders.

In 1954, the public's appetite for war comics kept growing, and new titles were needed to fill the void left by those cancelled in the light of the new Comic Code Authority restrictions. Enter "Our Fighting Forces" an anthology that would feature Gunner, Sarge, and their dog Pooch (Rex the Wonder Dog's brother!), which ran from 45-94; the Dirty Dozen inspired by Hunter's Hellcats, who ran on the covers of issues #106 - 122, and the Losers who took over the book from issue #123 until the title hung up its boots in 1978 with issue #181.

The comic was originally solicited as a twelve issue limited series, but through its run it was shortened and ended a seven-issue miniseries. That may explain why it ended on a massive cliffhanger and said "End Part One". However, a Part Two has never surfaced but what was published was collected in Otherworld.
