The new Superman crossover event "Brainiac and The Legion of Super-Heroes" begins here, in this first issue of a 3-part miniseries! It's New Krypton's worst nightmare as Brainiac attacks the planet, determined to recapture the city of Kandor! But General Zod has been waiting for this moment since Brainiac first attacked Old Krypton – he has a plan to save his people, but at the cost of Earth and the future as we know it! Superman/ThunderCats
Mumm-Ra is informed by Lantan Lin that there is a second Eye of Thundera, but it is in the city of Metropolis, which is very distant from Thunderra. So Mumm-Ra decides to use his Orbs of Barrack to teleport to Metropolis and get the second Eye. Luckily Nupil was spying on Mumm-Ra, and tells the Thundercats.

Superman/Supergirl: Maelstrom
Superman/Supergirl Maelstrom was a 5 part mini-series spanning from November, 2008 to March, 2009.The series began with the introduction of a Apokoliptian woman called Maelstrom who desired very greatly to "...be the new bride of Apokolips." She planned to win Darkseid's affections by bringing him the head of Superman, which led her to travel to Earth where she battled and defeated Supergirl. The effect of this defeat carries into the rest of the issues, resulting in Superman and Supergirl training on an alien planet under a red sun to hone their skills while Maelstrom, escorted by the Female Furies, prepares for a final battle with Superman.
