The Darkness (2002)
The wait for the return of the Darkness is over! Jackie Estacado is back...but can't remember anything after the fire that took the life of his Uncle, the Mafia boss, Frankie Francetti. As the rest of the family waits to see if Jackie will take his Uncle's place, Jackie is consumed by the things he can't quite remember...things that wait for him in the deepest depths of the DARKNESS!!

He then goes to the bar where he meets Jenny Romano and asks for a glass of milk, much to the latter's surprise. He's then seen flirting with some of the girls inside the bar and eventually leaves with one of them, telling her that he can get her a walk-on part in The Simpsons. Whilst he's at his home with the woman, the reader is introduced to Sonatine, who is spying on him through a mystical source, as well as the current wielder of the Angelus, who wants to kill him the moment he gains The Darkness, hoping to end the Estacado family line once and for all.

The Dark Horse Book of Hauntings

The Crow: City of Angels
The story opens with a young cloaked woman holding a sword, clad in armor bearing wings. "I believe there's a place where the restless souls wander. Burdened by the weight of their own sadness, they cannot enter Heaven. And so they wait, trapped between our world and the next, endlessly searching for a way to rid themselves of their pain. In hope that somehow, someday, they will be reunited with the ones they love." explains the young woman as the scene skips to the past.City of Angels - October 29th - La Noche De San Lucas.A crow flies over as a gang has a man and his son bound on a dock facing the waterfront. As one of the gang members begins filming the ordeal, the father begs for his son's life. His pleas however fall upon deaf ears as his son is murdered. Immediately afterwords the man is shot 3 times by the de-facto leader, the two bodies are then dumped into the ocean. As the father and son sink to the bottom, the fathers dying view is of a crow, seemingly flying up through the depths and out into the night.
