The Book of Genesis Illustrated
Envisioning the first book of the bible like no one before him, R. Crumb, the legendary illustrator, reveals here the story of Genesis in a profoundly honest and deeply moving way. Originally thinking that we would do a take off of Adam and Eve, Crumb became so fascinated by the Bible’s language, “a text so great and so strange that it lends itself readily to graphic depictions,” that he decided instead to do a literal interpretation using the text word for word in a version primarily assembled from the translations of Robert Alter and the King James bible.

Secrets of the Legion of Super-Heroes
This was DC's third foray into the world of the miniseries, and arguably its most revealing to date. A proven hit with the fans, the Legion of Super Heroes was a natural choice to follow Superman and Batman into the 3 issue mini series format. The star attraction of Superboy (who was proudly present on all covers) made the experiment even less of a risk for the company. Plotted by E. Nelson Bridwell and scripted by Paul Kupperberg, Secrets of the Legion of Super Heroes featured the art of penciller Jim Janes, inked by Dick Giordano on the 1st issue's cover. Giordano took up the pencils himself for the remaining two covers. The story centered around the Legion's mentor and financial backer R.J. Brande, who was on his deathbed due to a rare infection known as Yorrigan fever. Realizing the secret to Brande's cure could be within the Legion's computer files, Brande's old friend, Marla Latham began to research the origins of nearly every Legionairre. When he delved into the past of long term member Chameleon Boy, he found that the hero was actually Brande's son. With this major revelation out in the open, Chameleon Boy cured his father with a simple blood transfusion and began to mend a lifelong family rift.

Philip K. Dick: A Comics Biography
One of the greatest writers in SF history, Philip K. Dick is mostly remembered for such works as Blade Runner, Minority Report and Total Recall. His dark fascinating work centered on alternate universes and shifting realities in worlds often governed by monopolistic corporations and authoritarian governments. His own life story seems a tussle with reality, going through five wives and becoming increasingly disjointed with fits of paranoia and hallucinations fueled by abuse of drugs meant to stabilize him. His dramatic story is presented unvarnished in this biography.

Mary Wept Over the Feet of Jesus
The iconoclastic and bestselling cartoonist of Paying for It returns with a polemical interpretation of the Bible that will be one of the most controversial and talked-about graphic novels of 2016. Mary Wept over the Feet of Jesus is the retelling in comics form of nine biblical stories that present Chester Brown's fascinating and startling thesis about biblical representations of prostitution. Brown weaves a connecting line between Bathsheba, Ruth, Rahab, Tamar, Mary of Bethany, and the Virgin Mother and reassesses the Christian moral code by examining the cultural implications of the Bible's representations of sex work.
