After the events of last issue, the team becomes Justice League International as an ancient Aztec cult attacks the team and neutralizes their combined power. Only the newest members, Metamorpho, Tasmanian Devil and the mysterious Maya, are there to fight for the team's freedom!

Guy Gardner wakes up from the knockout punch Batman laid on him earlier. Before the fight he had given his power ring to Blue Beetle who just tossed it aside. While searching under a console Gardner gives himself a good crack on the head.
