Johnny the Homicidal Maniac

Johnny the Homicidal Maniac

The series begins when Squee wakes in the middle of the night to find Johnny in the bathroom of his family's new house. After a confrontation with Squee's teddy bear, Shmee, Johnny leaves, informing Squee that they are neighbors. Later, a survey-taker tries to collect Johnny's opinion on a recent rash of murders around the city. When the man asks about a possible case of vampirism, Johnny explains that he has to keep a wall in his house wet with the blood of his victims because the wall changes color as it dries (later the story changes to suggest a monster imprisoned there will break free), then pushes the surveyor forcefully through a boarded window, scaring Squee in the process. Johnny goes on a rampage with a spork in a "Taco Hell" restaurant, incited by an elderly patron referring to him as 'wacky'. Following the slaughter, Johnny watches its coverage on the news. Johnny debates Psychodoughboy and Nail Bunny on whether or not he should commit suicide, but the group gets distracted by a commercial for diarrhea medicine.

John Henry

John Henry

John Henry, a former slave, wasn't about to let some new-fangled steam hammer replace his ability to earn an honest wage as a steel driving man. He'd beat that machine, or die with his hammer in his hand. We all know the outcome of that legendary contest. In this alternate history, however, John doesn't die in his heroic effort, but instead slips into a coma, only to awaken to his worst nightmare. A robotic uprising has occurred, and a new age has dawned - The Steam Age. Now, the only thing that can free the human race from the very machines they've created is John and his hammer. "John Henry: The Steam Age" is an exciting re-imagining of American folk hero John Henry in a SteamPunk setting.

John Constantine Hellblazer: All His Engines

John Constantine Hellblazer: All His Engines

For John Constantine, doing a favor for friends in need can be one of the most dangerous things in his line of work, especially when the favor includes a coma epidemic, a bloated demon creating a literal Hell on earth, and a Native American death god. Luckily, for John's friend and his friend's comatose granddaughter, the Hellblazer works well under the worst kinds of pressure, even being forced to be a demon's lackey.
