Shikari, a flying alien with wings, and two of her companions are flying in the depths of space when they are attacked by aliens known as the Progeny. Shikari's two companions are killed and Shikari herself finds refuge in a damages Legion Outpost. Entering the Outpost triggers a hologram of Element Lad explaining that the Legionnaires in the Outpost were being attacked and somehow were lost in space. The Legionnaires themselves were placed in suspended animation while Element Lad tried to figure out how to get them back. Soon the Progeny enters the Outpost to hunt down Shikari when the Legion are released from their suspended animation. The Legion defeats the Progeny and realize they are truly far from home. Before too long, a large war ship arrives.
