Before Marvel Comics returned to their Official Handbook formula, they published 7 different encyclopedia's with profiles on much of the well-known Marvel characters. Only volume 3, the Hulk, is different from the other volumes, with no profiles, but stories about the Hulk and how he came to be and his run through the years.

Ultraforce followed the most powerful assemblage of ultras on Earth. Ultraforce members consisted of characters from other comic books, including Hardcase, Prime, Ghoul and Prototype.

Where did he come from? All Mulo knows is that he grew up in an orphanage on the French mainland. Then he receives an enigmatic letter directing him to an island off the coast of Brittany and promising him a glimpse into his past. A ferry delivers Mulo to the island where, in a seemingly abandoned cannery, he discovers a clue to his past—and learns that for some, he's considered unfinished business.
