With the renaming of this title there was also a format change. The backup stories, internal story edits, and additional editorial notes are dropped. They are now straight reprints of the source material, with the obvious exception of the advertisements. Advertisements, which were absent from Classic X-Men, are also introduced beginning with X-Men Classic #48 - Even In Death.
