An awakened Desaad then sends his army of Parademons to battle the invaders, as he questions Kanto's loyalty. The three then agree to unite to defeat Vundabar and his invasion,attacking with Granny's newest weapon the Mark VIII Pacifier.Desaad then pilots the ship through the hordes of ship, infiltrating the mothership and bringing it down sending the soldiers to parachute out as Desaad captures Vundabar. Meanwhile the falling ship is caught by the giant monument of Darkseid come to life, who tells them he has need for all of them to work together and he would remember this upon his escape. He then tells him to continue their assaults on New Genesis as he leaves the statue.

She-Hulk is at a circus, testing her strength by lifting two elephants into the air. The circus offered to let her use their grounds as a training area. The resident strongman comments on how impressive Jen's display is, but she comments that it is nothing for someone who can bench press seventy five tons. She also mentions that her cousin, the Hulk, hid out in a circus much like this one, back in issue #1 of the Avengers comic. Bruno says that he had heard rumors about her being the Hulk's cousin, but never knew if they were true
